Breaking Down the Barriers to Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Webinar

Date: September 21, 2010

Time: 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Cost: $85 for OPA Members and $135 for Non-Members

Instructor: Carolyn Vandyken, B.H.Sc., P.T., Cred MDT, C.C.M.A. (Acup)
Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Clinical Practice Leader, Pelvic Health

Contact: Courtney Alexander at the OPA Office at 416-322-6866 or calexander@opa.on.ca

These are exciting times, with the Regulated Health Professional's Act set to open up the scope of physiotherapy to include performing acts for the assessment and treatment of pelvic pain and incontinence WITHOUT a physician's delegation. However, this is not the only barrier for physiotherapists to integrate pelvic health physiotherapy into their practice. More than 100 physiotherapists have at least completed the first level of Pelvic Health training in Ontario, and yet only a handful of physiotherapists actively practice pelvic health. This one hour seminar will help to identify the barriers to integrating pelvic health practice, and will provide suggestions to overcome these barriers.

To register for this course please complete the registration form and fax to the OPA office at 416-322-6705.

Cancellation & Refund Policy: Refunds (minus a 25% admin fee) will be given if participants cancel at least 14 days prior to the course. No refunds will be given after that date. OPA reserves the right to cancel the course due to insufficient number of registrants.
