The integration expanded VHA’s range of services and network to over 1,500 health care professionals. Manager, Clinical Best Practice
0.8 fte - 28 hrs/week

Reporting to the Executive Director, Rehab Operations you are responsible for leading and evaluating evidence-based best practice initiatives across the organization. You will spearhead the development of service delivery models aligned with provincial health care priorities.

Working closely with the management team and clinical leaders, the Manager, Clinical Best Practice plays a key role in the creation and transfer of knowledge through research and quality improvement projects, education, task forces, presentations, and publications. You will work within a continuous quality improvement framework and will promote and maintain good public relations with clients, service providers, staff, associates and students evaluating internal and Clinical Service Guidelines. You are a skilled rehabilitation practitioner and communicator and will provide support to the Clinical Leaders and ensure standards of practice are met.

The successful candidate will have attained a Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy from a recognized university, combined with a minimum of three years clinical experience. You are a member in good standing with your professional College of Ontario. An Adult Education Certificate/ Degree or formal training in adult learning concepts is a definite asset. Training in research and in quality improvement modalities (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) round out your skill set.

Comprehensive knowledge of service delivery issues in the community health care sector is critically important in this role. Including the ability to balance competing priorities, your skill set will include a superior ability to meet goals and targets using strong planning and project management experience. Effective conflict resolution skills are key to your success. Your Microsoft Office computer skills are well developed and you have utilized client data base applications.

The successful candidate will be energetic, motivated and have exceptional interpersonal skills. Access to a vehicle and a valid Ontario driver’s license are essential.
