OPA Launches an Online Discussion Board
OPA is thrilled to announce a brand new member resource – the Online Discussion Board. The long awaited discussion board is now live on the members’ side of the website, allowing members to stay connected and have an online dialogue with colleagues across the province.
To access the discussion board, members have to log in to the members’ side of the website first. In order to contribute to the discussions, members will be required to register for the discussion board by completing a one-time registration page to obtain their login information and password.
Once registered, members can browse current postings, post their own discussion topics, or respond to other discussion “threads”. The board is divided into topic or sector specific forums, allowing members to find a community of therapists and post their comments and opinions accordingly.
Want to highlight the results of a recent study you participated in? Check out “Research and Best Practice”. Want to know how other physios are successfully implementing Programs of Care? Post a thread in the “WSIB” forum. Are you interested in what other hospital-based physios are doing to prepare for operational reviews? Ask a question in the “Hospital Issues” forum.
The Discussion Forum is easy to use, and even has a search function so you can look for a specific topic of interest to you. In addition, members are welcome to view the OPA event calendar for upcoming OPA and district events.
We understand that this may be new technology for some members; there is a list of FAQ’s to help you if you get stuck, or you can contact the OPA office for help. We hope that you will take full advantage of this excellent member resource. The more members who use it, the better resource it can be for everyone!
