About Membership

The Ontario Physiotherapy Association (OPA) gives Ontario's registered physiotherapists a united front and a strong professional voice to government, insurance companies, other health care professions, patient advocacy groups and the general public.

Membership is an investment in physiotherapy that enables OPA to support and advance the profession in Ontario. An important resource for physiotherapists, OPA provides membership services, advocacy and professional and career development opportunities.

Physiotherapists must be registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario to practice. Membership in OPA is a choice that reflects a commitment to the profession.

OPA's resources are dedicated to meeting the needs of its members and to promoting the physiotherapy profession in a leadership role within the health care system in Ontario.
