Captain Physio

This presentation is aimed at children aged approximately 7 to 11. Captain Physio addresses issues such as basic anatomy, playground safety, the role of physiotherapists, and provides healthy living and basic first aid tips. It's perfect for grade school classes or paediatric departments in hospitals. Some components of the Captain Physio package are also available in French.

Student Presentation

For older students (high school or even entry-level university programs), this presentation addresses such basic questions as "What is a physiotherapist?" and "Where do I find a physiotherapist?". It also targets those interested in choosing physiotherapy as a profession by providing information on future trends in the healthcare sector and job availability. The presentation also guides the audience through requirements needed to become a physiotherapist.

All About Physiotherapy

For the general public, this presentation increases awareness of physiotherapy and its role within today's healthcare system. It also gives concrete examples of how physiotherapy is involved with injuries, illnesses and ailments commonly encountered by today's public, and the ever-important aging population. Direct access, doctor's referrals and insurance coverage are also clearly explained.

With a few tips and preventable measures, such as stretching, pacing activity and proper footwear, physiotherapists can keep runners active throughout the year.
