Quarterly Meeting 

The Home Care Advisory Committee met on October 8, 2025, and focused its advocacy discussions on: 

  • The growing demand for physiotherapists in the home care sector and opportunities to address this 
  • Efforts being made to optimize the use of therapy assistants 
  • Addressing compensation disparities between physiotherapists and occupational therapists 
  • The use of AI-based documentation in the home care sector, with a pilot project being funded by a provincial grant 
  • Addressing the need for public education on the role of physiotherapy in home care 

Join the Home Care Advisory Committee 

The Home Care Advisory Committee is made up of volunteer members who advise OPA staff and the Board of Directors on issues affecting physiotherapy in the home care sector. 

This committee brings the voice and perspective of home care physiotherapists forward to support quality care and influence sector-wide decisions.
