Innovation & Advancement Award

This category recognizes trailblazers who have advanced the profession by innovating approaches in clinical practice, research, technology and education.

Greg Alcock

Greg was foundational in the development of the Advanced Health Care Practice Program in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the Western University School of Physical Therapy and has contributed to the development of highly reputable educational content for the National Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy.

Leadership & Advocacy Award

This category recognizes exceptional advocates who have increased positive awareness and the value of physiotherapy to the public and/or health care community.

Anthony Grande

Anthony has done exceptional work in government and auto sector advocacy and has been an admirable leader in developing positive relationships with members of the Government of Ontario, in pursuit of advancing scope of practice and navigating auto insurance regulations and red tape.

Outstanding Volunteer Award

This category recognizes a member who has been a tireless contributor to the association on district, provincial, or national committees and has contributed to the profession in other capacities.

Rhonda Matthews

Rhonda is being honoured and celebrated for her volunteer work with the Northern District of the Ontario Physiotherapy Association.

Rhonda has given several years to the Association in an underserved, geographically sparse region and has held various positions including Treasurer, Communications Coordinator, and now District President!

Student/New Grad Leadership Award

This category recognizes a member enrolled in an entry-level physiotherapy program or who is in their first year of practice (new grad). Those who stand out as emerging leaders through their involvement in the association and promotion of the profession.

Kristin Nugent

Kristin is being recognized and celebrated for her outstanding contributions to both her physiotherapy program and the profession at large.

Kristin has dedicated a significant amount of time and energy to advocate for and educate the public and profession on the important health needs of older adults and those with neurological conditions.

This category recognizes a PTA member who demonstrates strong commitment to patient-focused care and leadership through the innovation of health care delivery models. This member exemplifies what it means to be professional, collaborative and a true team player.

Pamela Morton

Pamela is being recognized and celebrated for her exceptional dedication to client-centered care, which has contributed to a positive, safe, and enriching healthcare experience for those in her community.

Pamela goes above and beyond the traditional duties of a PTA and ensures that her clients are not just treated – they are cared for.
