What is Mentorship?

Progressing from didactic learning to mentorship requires fostering a purposeful trusting relationship in which the mentor providers guidance, feedback and wisdom to facilitate the growth and development of the mentees. Mentees must take responsibility for their own learning and development while the Mentor serves as a facilitator for that growth.

Benefits to Mentee:

  • Share in problem solving and learn from the mentor’s challenges and experiences
  • Build community of practice/peer support network
  • Learn/reinforce places to access resources for clinical problem solving
  • Understand own gaps in knowledge and develop future learning/professional development goals

Mandatory prerequisites: Level 1, level 2, level 3, and the Pregnancy, PGP & the Pelvic Floor course. Please email info@pelvichealthsolutions.ca for approval of equivalent if not completed through PHS.
