Kiddo Physio is looking for a part-time or full-time, Pediatric Physiotherapist to join our amazing team. New grads are welcome. We provide in-home physiotherapy services to children from birth to 21 years of age, within the eastern part of Durham Region (service area is flexible within our catchment area). There is potential for some in-centre sessions also. We are looking for someone who is passionate, high-energy, fun and has a child-like imagination to go along with their stellar physiotherapy skills. Experience working with babies/ children, including both neuro-typical and/or with special needs is a must. At Kiddo Physio we focus on the potential of our patients, while making therapy fun, in addition to it being effective. Our goal is to treat each of our patients with the same level and quality of care that we would want and expect for our own family members.

Key requirements:

  • Be registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Carry professional Liability Insurance.
  • Have a personal vehicle, with insurance and a valid driver’s license

  • Be able to develop a treatment plan according to the patient’s individualized needs in collaboration with the family and other professionals

DUTIES:

  • Offer an educated, experienced, and effective wellness assessment, range of motion tests, and/or muscle tests along with treatment plan(s).

  • Maintain treatment notes & record keeping.
  • Present best plan of care possible to patients.
  • Explain any procedures, risks and benefits to clients

REQUIREMENTS:

Pediatric Physiotherapist

Five Counties Children’s Centre (FCCC) has been dedicated to supporting children and youth with physical, developmental and communications needs for nearly five decades. In partnership with families and communities, we provide outpatient and community-based services with the aim of enriching the independence and wellness of those we serve ~ Building Abilities for Life.

We assess and treat clients from infancy to their late teens, offering a wide variety of services including physiotherapy, occupational therapy speech and language therapy, social work and therapeutic recreation. We provide treatment in schools, in the community and at our locations in Peterborough, Lindsay, Cobourg, Campbellford and Minden.

About the Job:

We are accepting applications for a current vacancy for a permanent, full-time Physiotherapist. This position will work in our Northumberland and Peterborough locations.

In this role, you will assess, treat, provide consultation to and discharge children and adolescents referred for physiotherapy. You will provide consultation, training and education to clients, their caregivers and other professionals. You will have the opportunity to participate as a member of clinical multidisciplinary teams and resource committees to promote quality service for clients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • assessment and reassessment of clients referred for physiotherapy.
  • Provide a service plan for client care in consultation with the client’s care giving team (including the client, family, other therapists and other agencies).
  • Maintain knowledge of current practices/equipment in the field of physiotherapy.
  • Comply with relevant Centre statistical, clinical and administrative reporting requirements in a timely manner.
