This is not a start-from-scratch clinic. We have an established referral base and exploding demand for vestibular care, and are building a space designed specifically for this population.

About the Role

You will play an integral role on our Physiotherapy team, collaborating within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment to support children and youth (birth to 21 years). In this role, you will help clients achieve gross motor developmental milestones, enhance independent mobility, and build confidence in their physical abilities.

  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans for children and youth with needs related to gross motor skills, posture, balance, coordination, and mobility
  • Partner with families, educators, and childcare providers to promote meaningful participation at home, school, and in the community
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to Physiotherapy Assistants
  • Apply innovative, evidence-informed approaches such as the F-Words of Child Development and strengths-based therapy to empower children and families
  • Collaborate and communicate with medical professionals and interdisciplinary care teams to support shared goals
  • Contribute to the growth and evolution of pediatric therapy services within a new, state-of-the-art facility

An exciting opportunity is available for a Permanent, Flexible-Time Physiotherapist (0.5-1.0 FTE) as part of a collaborative, interprofessional team in Cobourg with the Northumberland Family Health Team (NFHT).
